Microgaming Introduces Their Newest PartnerTisha Walden | 14 Sep 2018
On the 12th of September Microgaming officially announced their new partnership with Slingshot Studios. The independent game studio is the latest to join a growing number of producers developing content exclusively for the industry pioneer.
The iGaming giant will be releasing the company's first new game on the 10th of October. The pokie, titled Cash of Kingdoms is a fantasy medieval themed release. Visitors to the Microgaming stand at the ICE Totally Game 2018 may recall the company stand being decked out in medieval accessories, archery targets, and barrels. All in preparation for this recent announcement.
An Innovative Partnership
Slingshot Studios started in 2016 and brought together a diverse team of animators, music professionals, coders, and gambling industry veterans. Their aim was to develop great entertainment through innovation and constant iteration.
They have done just that, being noticed by industry giant Microgaming to become the online casino software suppliers newest developers.
Slingshot Studios Creative Director, Richard Vermaak has commented that their team loves producing titles that people love to play. The team cannot wait to share their special brand of entertainment with players.
Cash Of Kings Coming Soon
Cash of Kings is a 5-reel 3-row pokie that features 15 lines and a RTP of 96.28%. The high value symbols are a medieval knight, a redheaded Viking, an elvish archer, an Arabian thief, and gypsy magician. The rest of the animations are standard medieval accessories such as shields, swords, and barrels.
The game has a new invading Wilds feature, which will turn any reels adjacent to reel 2 and 4 wild should a full stack of Wilds land on either or both, and Scatters activate free spins.
The animations have been beautifully crafted, and the audio exclusively developed for the title.
Leading the Way
Microgaming has been an industry pioneer for over 20 years and is one of the most respected brands in the business. They announced earlier this year that they would be working with independent studios. The company's aim is to offer players an even more extensive portfolio of entertainment options and bring innovation to the industry.
Slingshot is only the most recent recruit, Microgaming started working with Triple Edge Studios in February this year and Stormcraft Studios in June. CEO John Coleman has said that the company will only benefit from Slingshots personality and expertise. The studio is developing exciting games for target audiences and has an incredible drive. Microgaming looks forward to releasing more content in the coming months.
